Cosplay in Malaysia has been growing alright. From the annual CF to almost every month having a cosplay event. We even have cosplay shops in Malaysia now XD so where are we heading? Some cosplay for fun, some to release stress while some, taking cosplay to the next level - competitions.

Besides the local event competition (solo/duet/group), there is also international level to tackle such as ACM, AFA and WCS (World Cosplay Summit). 

What are the criteria to take our cosplay to the next level? 

What are the winning points that judges are looking for? 

In order to find out more, we have invited a few special guests to share their point of view in Malaysia cosplay.

One of the pioneer in cosplay since 2004, Ayase has cosplayed many characters and judged plenty or local competitions over the years. Let's hear a word or two from her regarding general judging criteria.

Will Wee, a passionate cosplayer who is active in local events and cosplay competitions. Having the experience of judging several competitions such as Anicom and Hari Belia cosplay competition, he will share his thought on cosplay competition judging criteria as well.

     

The enviable cosplay duo who made Malaysia proud by bringing their cosplay to the next level - World Cosplay Sumit. Let us hear Sky and Yuan sharing their cosplay experience. 

Kuro Dai, a renown crossplayer among us. Also, one of the pioneer cosplayer in our community who is passionate about the positive growth of cosplay. He will be sharing tips on the do's and don'ts for crossplay. 

Let's work together for the positive growth in Malaysia Cosplay :) feel free to ask them questions too.

Who's Rocking The Show!?

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, (cliche sia...), proudly presenting to you our Master of Ceremony (MC) for the Cosplay Ball 2011:

Hisashi Glay and Kinamoto Yukito

For those who have been to GACC, C2AGE and Animangaki, Hisashi's lively action and humor on stage is no longer foreign to all of us. Experienced in chairing various events and Radio EMiNA, catch him again this cosplay ball and let's rock the night together!

Yukito was our MC for our last year cosplay party and he is back this year with more actions! A passionate cosplayer, brother, boyfriend, employer and son, let's welcome him on stage again this Cosplay Ball! Able to speak over 450 languages, he humbly choose to speak in English and Mandarin for the night. 

We are also proud to have Fazri in da house!! He will be bringing us into the anime realm with musics exclusive from Radio EMiNA. How does he looks like? Come for the night and find out for yourself ;)

Face/Hand/Body Painting

Here are some of the samples, basically floral and motive-based designs. You can pick a spot and I'll do the painting in. The arm designs shown will be smaller when painted though. It takes 2 - 3 minutes to dry. Will spray a coat of protection for the night. Careful not to be in contact with water. Can be washed away with a little scrubbing or make-up removal (oil based).

 

Strictly not for people with sensitive skin. Available from 5pm to 6pm.

Early Birds Get The Worm

Dear all, heard of early birds get the worm? So do come early, the ball starts at 5pm onward to enjoy these:

• Picking your favourite choice of goodies bag :)
• Get FREE studio shoots from Misao LS
• Grab some goodies from the flea market
• FOC face/body painting 
• Fellow photographers can grab cosplayers and shoot within the 2nd floor vicinity :)

All these is happening from 5pm to 6:30pm except for face/body painting which ends at 6pm. Tits bits will be provided during this period as well. Please take note that we will enter the hall at 630pm sharp so do be on time so we will not miss out any games or activities due to delay ;)

Also a gentle reminder, we will end at 1200am for the countdown. Do arrange your transportation and accommodation as necessary. Glow in the dark sticks will be handed out later the night, kindly do not break it until the concert starts :)

Glow In The Dark Concert

So we are gonna end the year with countdown! For the ball countdown, we are gonna do it with our very own glow in the dark concert! Come join us and three of the talented, beautiful ladies with awesome voice for the night! You might have heard them in events and you might have met them in person. Now, let's rock the stage and sing along with them to greet the new year 2012!

Flea Market

Dear all,

Be there by 5pm!

In case you missed the earlier slot (5pm to 630pm), do drop by the booths to support at 7pm to 8pm!

This year we have a section of flea market for you to shop for some gifts besides having your cosplay photograph professionally taken! The ball starts at 5pm with registration and Misao's photography session. While waiting for the hall to open, do enjoy the free flow prepared outside the hall while dropping by these booths. 

December babies, flash your IC at the registration counter to collect your RM3 coupon to be spent at the flea market :)

For those who desire to get their gift exchange from the booth, kindly be reminded it has to be RM10 at least.
